Grief and loss counseling is a vital support system that provides people with a safe space to navigate the complex emotions and challenges associated with the grieving process. Grief is a highly individual experience and that everyone copes with it in their own unique way. My goal for my clients is to help them cope with the profound sense of loss and pain that accompanies the death of a loved one or any other significant loss and begin establishing a sense of normalcy in their day to day lives.

Divorce & Separation

Divorce and separation counseling is a specialized form of therapy designed to support individuals and couples going through the challenging process of ending a marriage or long-term relationship. This type of counseling provides a safe and confidential space where individuals can express their feelings, concerns, and uncertainties related to the separation. The focus these types of session is to help individuals navigate the emotional rollercoaster of grief, anger, and sadness that often accompanies the dissolution of a significant partnership. We will work on developing effective communication strategies, setting healthy boundaries, and making informed decisions about the future, ultimately facilitating healing and personal growth throughout the divorce or separation journey.

Adolescence into Young Adulthood

The transition from adolescence to adulthood is a significant and transformative period in a person's life. It involves navigating various physical, emotional, and social changes while assuming greater responsibilities and independence. This transition encompasses forming a personal identity, establishing long-term goals, and making important life choices such as education, career, and relationships. It is a time of self-discovery, self-reflection, and self-reliance, as individuals learn to adapt to the expectations and demands of adulthood. My focus with clients in this life phase is to empower young adults as they navigate this transitional phase and lay the foundation for a fulfilling and successful adult life.

I have experience working with clients dealing with a range of major life events to include but not limited to birth of child, marriage, empty nest syndrome, retirement, career change, job loss, immigration/relocation, illness onset. Throughout our lives we experience unexpected situations and events that can feel overwhelming and insurmountable. I work with my clients to fully understand their lives and the intricacies of the major life event(s) that they are dealing with.
